Drug Testing Impact on YOUR Employment Outlook

smoking dope photo After considering the recent push for legalization of drugs in many states I was moved to consider the impact on your employment outlook if you decide to take advantage of this wonderful new found freedom.

[cp_quote style=”quote_normal_dark”]Many of those who want to legalize it either want your vote or will make money from you “Smokin Dat Blunt”  They will either have your vote forever, if you remember to vote, or they will have your money.  Either way they don’t care.[/cp_quote]

A bit of humor in this video but you know it’s true, enjoy…

The laws governing drug testing for employment are getting stronger.  They will not go away.  You may be able to “Smoke Dat Blunt an Chill” without much fear of prosecution.  If you are unemployed think twice.  If you are employed think ten times and ask if “Dat blunt” is worth your job.  If you think it’s worth your job, stop reading because you fall into the hopeless category of Dumb Ass that is destined for failure.

After reviewing the jobs in the US by sector and numbers Government and non Government jobs, the employment outlook is grim for the crowd “Smokin Dat Blunt and Chillin.”  That is your personal choice no one is making it for you.  It is your decision along with the diminishing outlook on your future.

Here is how the numbers break down:

  • 141,000,000 Jobs in US
  • 64,000,000 Jobs in Government, Healthcare, Education, Transportation, Finance, Construction, Mining and Logging you can write off.
  • 31,000,000 or so jobs out of 61,000,000 in other sectors that are probably blocked
  • 15,000,000 jobs in the Retail sector that are probably open to you. Want fries with that!
  • 68% of the US jobs will require some sort of drug testing, many as a condition of your employment application.
  • 32% of the jobs most likely will not.

Let me lay it out clearly 2/3 of the jobs in the US are closed to you when you “Smoke Dat Blut” regardless of the legality of “Smokin Dope.”

Happy burger flipping!

I am an independent observer of life... amused and at the same time frightened by those who speak for the people and make no personal commitment to their stated beliefs. If you believe in global warming make a small personal carbon footprint don't force others. If you believe in freedom of speech, allow others to speak. Elected leaders, represent everyone not just your special interest groups. If you condemn racism don't tolerate it within your own race. If an opinion does not match yours, listen with an open mind you may be the one who is wrong.
