Yes America, the NAACP is Racist to the core and irrelevant! NAACP must now face its own racism!

I once revered this organization, though I never cared for the name.  Funny thing about that name… If you are White and you mention “Colored People” you will be labeled racist.  If you say “People of Color” that will be OK.   Yet it’s OK for this organization to be named the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).  If a well meaning honest non racist predominantly white charitable organization like “Habitat for Humanity” changed its name to “Habitat for Poor Colored People” the NAACP would label that organization Racist.  I admit I to would find the name offensive.  How Hypocritical of the NAACP today not to understand that they must hold their own organization to standards they hold others.

Let me say before we get into this discussion, the recent firing of the US Agriculture Department employee Shirley Sherrod, who was forced out by the Obama administration over alleged racial bias was wrong.  When you view the whole tape of the incident you see Shirley, who displayed poor judgement over how she recounted an incident in her past that displayed racial bias on her part.  Taken in context you see she was saying this was not right, even though she reveled in the laughter of the NAACP audience along the way as she described the incident.    What was appalling was the laughter and the glee and the applause of the audience of the NAACP as she described how she had discriminated against this White farmer.  That glee on the part of the NAACP members was current, it was today not yesterday, it was before Shirley described how wrong she felt it was.  She never said it was not a laughing matter.  She never said she was wrong and we should not allow this to happen again.  She never admonished her audience for taking pleasure in the story of her discriminating  against the white farmer.  Yes my friends the audience, the NAACP, was displaying a racist attitude and they are so blind and so irrelevant that they don’t even see it.

In recent days this once revered organization has displayed several disturbing attributes among the most disturbing are:

They have become a stooge arm of the Democratic party.  While on the surface this may not be disturbing, to an educated and thinking person who has done research, it should surprise people that this organization would become associated with a political party that has a long history of racism and anti civil rights.  Unlike the Republican party that has a long history of Pro civil rights, anti slavery, anti discrimination, anti clan and pro freedom and pro liberty.

They have failed to recognise and condemn and take action against Racism displayed by Blacks in the Black Community.  We have come a long way in the past 60 years or so since the Republican party and a Republican President first sponsored the first Civil Rights bill which was adamantly opposed by the Democratic Party and many Democrats that are still in power today.  They prefer to use the word Racist and Racism to further the political agenda of the Democratic party rather than understand the real Racism that exists today in all communities Black and White and Brown and Red and Yellow.  My guess would be that if you took an accurate poll of these communities you would find more overt and covert racism in the Black community than you would find in the White community.  The White community today does not tolerate Racism.  the Black community accepts it against the White community as a matter that should be accepted and “understood” and ignored and never spoken about.

They have continued to foster leaders who profit from continued victimization of the African American community.  Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, Farrakhan, Rev Wright, ACORN, New Black Panthers and others are all leaders that financially benefit from inventing and perpetrating and portraying “victimization” in the African American community even in those instance when it doesn’t exist.  They all invent victims when there are none, of course there are victims but they INVENT THEM when they need them to make money.  It’s an industry to them.  They ignore the steps that must be taken to advance this community if the steps do not fit into the template of “victim” and evil White Man.

They encourage dependence on the Government rather than demanding accountability and self reliance in the Black community.

They refuse to admit and recognise that bad behaviour has no excuse.  Bad behaviour is just that, bad behaviour.  It’s bad for society.  It’s bad for community.  It’s bad for family.  It’s bad for the individual.  Bad behaviour is irresponsible unprotected sex and the plight of poverty those children put the young mothers in.  Bad behaviour is fathers who take no financial responsibility for raising the young they procreate.  Bad behaviour is taking and selling drugs.  Bad behaviour is putting hoodlum rappers up as heroes.  Bad behaviour is tolerating the disrespect for women displayed by the young men in the community.  Yes poverty plays a part in this but unless you condemn bad behaviour and take personal responsibility for it and the results then poverty will never go away for this generation.  Bad behaviour is not racial.  It is just there and it results in bad outcomes always.

And now they call the Tea Party racist and they blame the whole Shirley Sherrod incident on FOX news.  Fox news reported the incident after the White House and the Obama administration forced her to resign her and gave the reason for her resignation as her display of racism which should not be tolerated.   Fox news reported after the incident.  They were not the cause…. how hypocritical of the NAACP and the White House.

I am an independent observer of life... amused and at the same time frightened by those who speak for the people and make no personal commitment to their stated beliefs. If you believe in global warming make a small personal carbon footprint don't force others. If you believe in freedom of speech, allow others to speak. Elected leaders, represent everyone not just your special interest groups. If you condemn racism don't tolerate it within your own race. If an opinion does not match yours, listen with an open mind you may be the one who is wrong.
